The second I chatted with Suzi via phone, I knew she would be a great bride to work with. Little did I know how fun her fiance Joe would be as well (this guy has Top Model in the bag!).

Because Suzi+Joe were eloping, we decided to concentrate our efforts on an elaborate engagement session in their hometown of LA. With the help of two friends, the amazing styling duo Two Shoppers (310-867-4888), we focused the wardrobe on a Latin inspired theme. And since Suzi just released her first novel Love Habits, I visualized a long, forbidden romance… A romance out of a Harlequin novel set at a train station.

The photos shot in the station remind me of a watercolor or fresco. They evoke such a longing for love, such emotion, passion, and desire. I love the images as they run to catch the last train.  We continued on to the colorful Olvera Street for some more fun and campy imagery.

As for the makeup & hair,  I was fortunate enough to steal away Missy Sandora from her daily TV gig for a day of her incredible artistry. Lucky for me, Style Me Pretty is going to give you the full story and photos on the LBB on July 23rd…Check back in to see the beautiful story of Suzi+Joe.

I was super fortunate that Katie found me on SMP earlier this year. And in May I went down to LA to do their engagement photos. We had a ball. Not only are K+B super gorgeous and total dolls, they have an adorable story of how they fell in love. Katie and Bo will be married in August at beautiful Auberge in Rutherford. You can read up on their super sweet story and see their gorgeous pics today on the ultra-cool Style Unveiled.

Ps. Love this great shot from my assistant, Megan Youngblood.

I was so happy when Shoshanna+Ben contacted me to do their pregnancy and baby photos. I photographed their gorgeous wedding at Plumpjack-Squaw Valley long ago in 2005. It was such a joy to work with them then and even better now, seeing them so happy together starting a family. Not to mention, they have a girl coming in August…a Leo (just like Harley) and a gorgeous Boxer Paige (just like Blaze)…yep, they’ve got good taste.

What an amazing day to celebrate!…My two best friends celebrating their 5th wedding anniversary. It felt like my anniversary too. Five years ago this June,  Maria gave me a call to photograph her elopement. We were friends the minute we spoke. And as a result, I spent a precious day with Maria and Kevin. We did it all..getting ready in Yountville, seeing Maria walk down the aisle of an empty church (still makes me smile) to meet the love of her life, and afterwards, a celebration of champagne and photographs throughout wine country on way to their gorgeous dinner destination at Auberge du Soleil. It was truly the sweetest celebration I have witnessed and I had the time of my life. The amazing thing is, Maria and Kevin are now dear friends of my husband and I, as well as, members of my family. They have forever changed our lives. And I am just so grateful to have a job that brings me such incredible people and everlasting relationships.
